Legendary singer, songwriter, and record producer, Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, has been issued an apology by the Associated Press after he was treated disrespectfully on a now viral video by AP reporters.
Leslie Ambriz, alongside Krysta Fauria, greeted Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds during AP’s live red carpet show by calling him a “legend.” They discussed how the fires that have ravaged Los Angeles have brought the community together and how music helped the multi-Grammy winning talent process his emotions. In mid-conversation Ambriz co-host Fauria began screaming at Chappell Roan to get her attention. For the ‘Cool’ in himself Babyface, said to the reporters to go ahead and talk to Chappell Roan while handing them microphone back.
Not live but on ‘X’ formerly known as Twitter The Associated Press apologized to Babyface in a statement.
“We are deeply sorry for cutting our interview with Babyface short on our YouTube livestream of the Grammys red carpet,” the news outlet said. “We have apologized to him through his representative and to our viewers on the livestream.”
Just in case Leslie Ambriz and Krysta Fauria didn’t know, Babyface is a Grammy 54 time nominated as well as 12 time winner, whose resume includes writing and co-writing hits for artists like Whitney Houston, Eric Clapton, P!nk, Beyoncé, and Michael Jackson, just to name a few.
