Lightning was caught in a bottle when Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson started his Power Universe on Starz June 7, 2014 and the world instantly fell in love with, Omari Hardwick AKA James ‘Ghost’ St. Patrick. Then in 2020 right before the pandemic had us shelter in place ‘Ghost’ became a ghost, not behind COVID-19 but at the hands of his son Tariq St. Patrick. As the Power flock mourned Ghost passing, Power Universe God ‘, Fifty, introduced us to his Power Universe.
10 years since it’s inception, Lil Ghost has taken over in ‘Power Book II: Ghost’, however fans felt like the were kicked in the gut once again when they learned that this too is coming to and end in 2024.
As fans wait to see what’s next, conspiracy theorist have been busy with speculation that ‘Ghost’ really isn’t dead. However during a panel discussion at the TriBeca Film Festival, Omari Hardwick, who played the character of ‘Ghost’ in the original ‘Power’ sounded like he felt some kind of way about Power co-creator 50 Cent’s decision to axe the show’s main character, Ghost.
“I’m with y’all in this sense,”I’m with you in the sense that the way the story was sold and told to me is not befitting of the way it ended, guys. So y’all have every right to be like, ‘It didn’t end right.” “And because we don’t honor our fans enough, and I know me, Matt, and Trey are different. We honor y’all, we honor our fans, man. We often forget that the fans are being sold and told a story that has a genesis, and that it has to end the way that it was sold.” -Omari Hardwick
With that being said it sounds like Ghost is really dead, and if he wasn’t, after 50 Cent heard the interview he probably is now.
“This [ninja emoji] is a strange bird,” “The fuck is he talking about? I never done nothing but look out for him. If he needed something I gave it to him. I understand now, that shit didn’t matter at all.” -5o Cent
