The mystery is over as former President Donald Trump makes a run for the Oval Office once again, the question has been who will be his Veep, since it’s safe to say it wouldn’t be Mike Pence.
Donald Trump has made it official that Ohio Senator J.D. Vance will be his running mate.
Who is J.D. Vance? Ohioans may remember J.D. Vance recently entered the political scene, beating out former U.S. Rep. Tim Ryan for Ohio’s U.S. Senate seat in 2022. Vance was sworn in in January 2023, becoming the first U.S. Senator from Ohio to hold office without any previous government experience since John Glenn. J.D. Vance was once an outspoken Trump critic, but when Donald Trump Jr. reached out to him about his book, a friendship on both sides started. Trump endorsed Vance in the Ohio U.S. Senate race.
J.D. Vance is also known for his book “Hillbilly Elegy,” which was adapted into a Netflix movie of the same name in 2020.
