Austin Metcalf’s Father Speaks Following Karmelo Anthony Being Denied A New Trial [VIDEO]

Karmelo Anthony’s legal team won its bid to have State District Judge John Roach Jr. removed from his murder appeal. As Karmelo Anthony’s fight for a new trial moves ahead with his new legal dream team, disturbing details about Austin Metcalf’s past are coming to light, a light that Karmelo Anthony’s previous lawyers didn’t shine for the jury that found him guilty.  Unfortunately for team Karmelo Anthony a judge has handed them an ‘L’ by denying Karmelo Anthony’s appeal for a new trial.

Austin Metcalf’s father is speaking out following Karmelo Anthony being denied a trial expressing sympathy  “It’s a tragedy he has to be in prison. I feel sorry for him. Just through the fact that his life is pretty much ruined.” however  “I don’t feel sorry for what he did, though. He needs to be held accountable.”

In an interview with ABC News, Jeff Metcalf said he does not believe Anthony’s conviction and prison sentence can bring his family justice:

“No. There’s no such thing. I got handed a life sentence. So did Meghan, Hunter. So did everybody else in my family and her family. We don’t ever get to see Austin again. We don’t get to talk to him, hug him. This guy [Karmelo Anthony], he still gets to see his family.”
