Savannah James Recalls The Day LeBron James Proposed To Her [VIDEO]

It’s a known fact that LeBron James and Savannah Brinson were high school sweethearts.  LeBron James a high school phenom while most where graduating then heading to college, he was heading to the NBA as the number one pick in the 2003 NBA draft.  LeBron James at 18 years old could have went sought out options from any women in the world, however Just A Kid from Akron was true to his first love from Akron.  A year after in 2004, LeBron James was drafted Savannah gave birth to prince Bronny James, then in 2007 their son Bryce.  Then 10 years after taking the stage that changed his life forever LeBron James made Savannah his wife.  In a recent interview Savannah James recalled the day that LeBron proposed to her 13 years later.

On Angie Martinez’s podcast, Savannah James revealed the details of that incredible experience that left her bawling like a baby in Miami, New Years Eve 2011.

“I was getting dressed with Gabrielle (Union) that day, and I wanted to wear this black dress and this hot pink lipstick. Gab was like, ‘I don’t think you should wear that lipstick.’ And I’m like, ‘Girl, I’ve been looking for this lipstick. I’m wearing this lipstick,” 

“So, we’re at the party. The countdown happens. Happy New Year. We come back. I’m on my phone texting all my people, ‘Happy New Year,’ whatever. And LeBron is behind me, tapping me on my shoulder Just tapping,” …“I’m like, ‘Hold up. Like, Hold up.’ Somebody on this side of me, because now it’s like a crowd, said, ‘Savannah, turn around!’ ..“I turn around, and he was on his knee.”
