Judge Grants Team Jay-Z Permission To File Motion To Dismiss

Recently a judge ruled against Jane Doe, Jay-Z accuser,  revealing herself.   It’s two days into 2025 and there appears to be shift in favor of team Jay-Z.  A judge granted team Jay-Z permission to file a dismissal motion in his assault case.

Court reporter Meghann Cuniff shared court documents (see below) confirming that Judge Analisa Torres granted lawyer Alex Spiro’s request to submit a motion to dismiss. This decision marks a shift for Torres, who had previously expressed concerns that Jay-Z’s defense team was attempting to dismiss the lawsuit without proper due diligence.

An accuser being identified as ‘Jane Doe’ in federal lawsuit that was originally filed in October in the Southern District of New York, listing Combs as a defendant, was refiled to include rapper Jay-Z.  According to the lawsuit ‘Jane Doe’ is alleging the then 13-year-old girl in 2000 was driven to an MTV Video Music Awards after-party where she was sexually assaulted.  Jay-Z has vehemently denied the allegations.
