Homicide Charges Filed In Subway Chokehold Death Of Jordan Neely [VIDEO]

Jordan Neely entered the northbound train and reportedly started yelling and throwing garbage at other commuters.  A 24 year old white former Marine intervened placing the Neely in a chokehold, while others on the train restrained the 30 year old’s arms and legs, while others called the police.  Jordan Neely then became still.  When EMS boarded the train Jordan Neely was not breathing and they were not able to revive him.  The disturbing incident was caught on video causing viewers to demand that charges be filed because what they viewed appeared to be murder.

Now a medical examiner is agreeing with them and activists are calling for charges to be filed against the man that placed him in a chokehold. A protest is reportedly planned outside the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office on Thursday.  Despite being ruled a homicide by the medical examiner, that does not necessarily mean his case will be prosecuted as a homicide.

According to Jordan Neely’s father, Andre Zachery:

“I just want something to be done,” “Obviously he was calling for help … He wasn’t out to hurt nobody. He was a good kid and a good man too. Something has to be done.”
