You learn so many things about people during weddings and funerals and funerals definitely after the dust settles can get ugly quick going from grieving to fighting. The estate of the late Voletta Wallace, the mother of Christopher Wallace known as the rapper Biggie Smalls / Notorious B.I.G, is suing the 52-year-old singer for allegedly keeping the trust’s portion of the huge catalog sale. Now its being reported that the court made a judgement saying that the R&B singer, Faith Evans, who was Biggie’s widow has to pay the estate $12.5 million.
As reported by AllHipHop, Faith Evans lost a court battle over money related to Biggie’s catalog proceeds that she allegedly withheld from the rapper’s late mother. Judge Kathaleen St. J. McCormick concluded that Evans owes $12,518,336 to the trust because of Voletta Wallace’s interest in Notorious B.I.G., LLC, which Evans manages. Evans had filed a motion to have the payout limited to $48,612, but Judge McCormick rejected it.
Notorious B.I.G’s mother Voletta Wallace’s will left her estate to the Voletta Wallace Revocable Trust, and Biggie’s former manager, Wayne Barrow, and reportedly are to give half to Biggie’s children, T’yanna Wallace and Christopher Jordan Wallace (who is Faith Evans son). Christopher C.J. Wallace is throwing a flag on the play filing a suit of his own alleging that his grandmother’s will was changed just 15 days before her death, cutting him out of the estate.
