Actress Jasmine Guy Responds To Cruel Judgement About Her Aging Following ‘A Different World’ Revival Release [VIDEO]

Social media started as a way of connecting friends and family that have been disconnected and connecting the world while you have the luxury of sitting were you are just scrolling through your phone.  However the positivity over the years has turned to negativity where people jump on social media with the objective to drag someone.  Now actress Jasmine Guy is responding to that negativity following the highly anticipated release on Netflix of ‘A Different World’ revival.

Actress Jasmine Guy is best known for her role as Whitley Gilbert in the groundbreaking original ‘A Different World’ that ran from 1987 to 1993 about life at an HBCU on the campus of the fictional  Hillman College.  Thirty three years later Whitley Gilbert Wayne is back at Hillman with her daughter in the revival.  Unfortunately the internet has been a little harsh when talking about how Jasmine Guy has aged.  At the age of 64 years old Jasmine Guy has a response to those who doesn’t think she has aged gracefully.  

“The internet can be brutal to women as we grow older. It asks us to celebrate life while criticizing every sign that we’ve lived it,”…“Growing older brings change, and I won’t pretend every change is easy. But beauty, style, and joy don’t have an expiration date,” she continued. “Let’s spend less time judging ourselves and each other, and more time loving each other, making memories, and living the life we’re here to live ❤️.”
