VSU Student Turns Herself After Mass Shooter Found Hiding In Her Closet [VIDEO]

This past weekend police were called to the HBCU, Virginia State University around 1:30 a.m. Saturday for reports of gunfire. The early-morning shooting critically injured a 21-year-old man. A 17-year-old boy, a 23-year-old man, a 19-year-old woman and a 20-year-old VSU student sustained non-life-threatening injuries.   The shooting suspect has been identified as 19 year old Camron Harris, who according to reports had planned the shooting over an argument.

Cameron Harris who is not at student of VSU was arrested after being found hiding in a dormitory closet at Virginia State University, a VSU student who lives in that dorm room has also now been arrested on a misdemeanor charge.

19 year old Ja’niah Johnson of Glen Burnie, Maryland, returned to Virginia and turned herself in on Wednesday after police contacted her, Chesterfield County police said. Her warrant was for obstruction-accessory after the fact. Reportedly Ja’niah Johnson appeared in court and was released on her own recognizance.

Virginia State University is a historically Black university located in Ettrick, Virginia, about 24 miles south of the state capital of Richmond. The public university has about 5,700 students and was the first fully state-supported four-year college for Black Americans. Most of its students are undergraduates.
