Female Egg Donors Child Reached Out To Her Wanting A Relationship But The Donor Isn’t Sure She Wants One

We hear all the time about people having children via a surrogate involving someone else’s eggs.  Recently we reported about a white family who was given the wrong eggs from a black family that didn’t find out until they gave birth to a black child that following found themselves in a custody battle.  Now reportedly a female egg donor’s child reached out to her wanting a DNA test and mother/daughter relationship, however the donor doesn’t want a relationship with her.

According to the woman, she donated her eggs when she was around 20 years old because she needed money to pay her rent. She said she completed the donation process, signed away her rights, accepted her payment, and never expected to hear anything about it again. Years later, she says she received a message from a young woman who explained that her parents recently told her how she was conceived. In the message, the young woman asked if she would be willing to take a DNA test and possibly build a relationship, saying she believed they looked alike and wanted to get to know her.

The donor says she’s conflicted, writing that part of her feels bad, but another part of her doesn’t want anything to do with the situation.  Of course her post went viral and the court of public opinion debate has started.

What do you think she should do?

See below then, let us know
