Browns fans across the country all got sick when the Browns lost to the 1-11 Titans Sunday. We all seen the two point conversion early in the game that didn’t work, but none the less Shedeur Sanders didn’t waive his white flag and marched the Browns down the field to give them an opportunity to tie the game on another two point conversion attempt. The problem most have was for 2 point number two, Sanders that marched them down to that opportunity was taken out the game for them to attempt to have their freshman running back Quinshon Judkins take the snap in the Wildcat formation, when Judkins appeared to miss his chance to pitch to a teammate before ultimately throwing the ball right into the waiting hands of a Titans defender solidifying Tennessee win, 31-29. Cleveland’s Shedeur Sanders passed for 364 yards and three touchdowns in his third start, and he also ran for a score in a matchup of rookies. According to the NFL, Sanders joined Cincinnati’s Joe Burrow as the only rookie QBs with at least 350 passing yards, three touchdown passes and one rushing score in a game. As the game clock ticked out many Cleveland fans and or just football fans in general were scratching their head surrounding the play call. Some wanted to highlight Sanders interception, however his game on Sunday with some mistakes in his just 3rd start nullifies that argument.
And before the negative Shedeur Sanders Nancy’s say Sanders was a 5th round draft pick, he was projected to go high in the first round and to date no one still knows what caused the slide. So instead of saying Cleveland just picked up Shedeur Sanders in the 5th as a he was the best player that landed on them in the fifth, they should be saying they got a QB that should have went in the first round as a steal.
Did the Browns roll the dice at the end of the game with the thought that they would rather loose, if the trick play didn’t work out than let Shedeur Sanders potentially win or loose? The biggest question is does the Cleveland Browns really want to see Shedeur Sanders succeed as a Brown? Are they sandbagging to take Indiana’s QB Fernando Mendoza number next year? Which would solidify the argument that the Cleveland Browns just don’t want Shedeur Sanders as their quarterback, like the owners said after drafting Sanders.
