Father of Nolan Wells’ “Best Friend” Is Threatening To Sue Attorney Ben Crump For Defamation

Nolan Xavier Wells, was last seen July 4 on the island, where he was hanging out with a group of friends, that he traveled there with, but everyone else reportedly made it back to the mainland without him. Wells’ phone was found on the boat he and his friends had been on earlier that day, and returned to his family. Sadly, days later, 18 year old Nolan Wells body was found on Horn Island reportedly his body appeared to have washed up on shore. Everything surrounding Nolan Wells’ death has been a mystery with the who, what, why and when’s scrolling through social media time lines.  As everyone that was in eye sight of that island that day as well as days after, has had something to say about the Nolan Wells’ case including the debate of who Nolan Wells’ ‘best friend’ really is.  The father of the ‘best friend’ is now threatening to sue Civil Rights Attorney Ben Crump for defamation.

Ben Hudson, the father of Warren Hudson, who said he considered Wells his best friend, is accusing Wells’ family’s attorney, Crump, of pushing a “false narrative” about his son and others. Hudson says his family plans to sue Crump for defamation and slander.

“In my opinion, Ben Crump has slandered and falsely accused my son and his friends of murder and he’s pursued what’s an obvious false narrative. I think he can expect lawsuits not just from my family but from a number of other families who, in my opinion, he’s defamed.”…“In my opinion, truth is not Ben Crump’s concern. He’s exploiting the situation and raising money.”… “I think this is financially exploiting this entire tragedy and making it a much bigger tragedy at the expense of my family and our community and the Wells family.”

Reportedly Dr. Benjamin Hudson, whose son Warren was with Wells on Horn Island before the teen was reported missing and later found dead, is offering a $50,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to an arrest and conviction in connection with Wells’ death.
