Woman Who Sparked Trump-Vance Haiti ‘Pet-Eating’ Allegations in Ohio Pleads Guilty

During the presidential debate,  between now President-elect Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris, Donald Trump said “In Springfield they are eating the dogs, the people that came in, they’re eating the cats. They’re eating the pets of the people that live there,”   Most people sitting in their living rooms perked up and said “WTH!!”, “where did that come from??”  Vice President-elect, JD Vance during an interview on CNN admitted he created the eating of cats and dogs story to bring attention to an immigrant problem that they allegedly have in Springfield, OH.

The woman who was responsible for sparking ‘pet eating’ allegations in Ohio, has now pleaded guilty on Monday to cruelty to animals.

Allexis T. Ferrell, 27 years old, from Canton, OH, originally pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity, but a competency report from Akron’s Psycho-Diagnostic Clinic said she was capable of understanding the court proceedings.  After pleading guilty was given the maximum prison sentence by Stark County Common Pleas Ferrell’s Frank G. Forchione who proceeded to give Ferrell a tongue lashing “You’ve embarrassed this county. You’ve embarrassed this nation. More importantly, you’ve embarrassed yourself,”   Ferrell pleaded remorsefully to the court asking the judge for treatment for drug and alcohol dependencies.

This past August the animal eating story went viral after a video from police bodycam footage was posted with a bogus headline–‘Haitian Woman East Neighbor’s Cat in Springfield.’, according to prosecutors she did not eat the cat and the Canton incident happened approximately 170 miles from Springfield and Ferrell is a U.S. citizen.
