There’s old say that sometimes you win some, and sometimes you lose some. A woman that worked at a Waffle House took rapper Latto’s ‘Brokey Challenge then lost her job behind it.

Less than a week ago, Yadira Ramirez shared a 27-second video of more than five Waffle House employees, including herself, participating in Latto’s challenge. In six days, the clip collected more than 23.4 million views, over 3.7 million likes, and nearly 19,000 comments. Two days after Yadira shared the Waffle House ‘Brokey’ challenge on TikTok she made another video to say that she was fired, after working there for six years and is on the unable to rehire list.
We don’t know if Yadira Ramirez viral ‘Brokey’ Waffle House video was deemed the winner of the challenge, but it seems that her creativity and hard work earned her recognition and much respect by Latto herself.
On September 24th, Yadira Ramirez and Latto met in the studio, posting a video dancing to “Brokey.” Latto also gifted her cash to celebrate the unexpected partnership.
