The Verdict Is In, A$AP Rocky Found Not Guilty [VIDEO]

A$AP Rocky had been charged with two counts of first-degree assault with a firearm, and standing trial for firing a semi-automatic handgun at his former friend and plaintiff A$AP Relli.  A$AP Rocky husband of Rihanna, with whom he shares two children, decided to roll the dice by not taking a plea deal of six months in jail, along with probation and other conditions and go to trial facing 24 years if convicted.  After an exhausting three week trial, the verdict is in.

Rakim Mayers, AKA Hip-hop star A$AP Rocky was found not guilty on Tuesday. When the verdict was read, Rihanna cried and hugged the defense lawyers.

“Thank y’all for saving my life. Thank you. Thank y’all. You’re making the right decision,” – A$AP Rocky 

A$AP Relli, who testified that Rocky confronted him outside a Hollywood parking garage, a fight broke out and Relli alleged that his childhood friend Rocky shot him. Rocky’s lawyers and witnesses they called said Rocky had shot a prop gun that only fires blanks, which he had been carrying for security since taking it from a music video set months earlier. Authorities also found no physical evidence of a shooting when they searched the alleged scene either. However, days later, Relli reportedly presented shell casings to the police, which he alleged that he retrieved from the shooting scene.
