The Chi Season 4 Premiere Is This Weekend [VIDEO]

Yes, the wait is over!!

Season One of Lena Waithe’s Showtime series ‘The Chi’ was a story line around the loss of life senselessly of Coogi for something he didn’t do, season two we got to know the characters a little better before real life drama stepped in and blew the characters that the show revolved around out the water.

Season three dealt with a death we witnessed but never seen a funeral, then we witnessed a funeral without knowing what happened to poor ole Brandon laying in a coffin. Douda adopts Jake after killing his brother that was raising him, runs for mayor and had a whole wife living somewhere else. All the little fellas are growing up getting girlfriends, while Kevin’s sister was kidnapped, rapped and became pregnant by her kidnapper, but she was saved by the neighborhood drunk that killed Coogi, Ronnie. The season ends with Ronnie finally paying for what he did to Coogi in season one, bringing closure to what started The Chi storyline in season one. Now it’s on to the next chapter.

Season four of The Chi premieres this Sunday May 23rd on Showtime as Jake, Papa and Kevin confront the harsh reality of how the world views young, Black men in the aftermath of an act of police brutality.
