Tear Jerk Alert: Vanessa Bryant’s Speech Honoring Kobe at Basketball Hall of Fame Ceremony

The historical crazy year of 2020 started off with the horrific untimely passing of NBA great Kobe Bryant and his 13 year old daughter Gianna, who was trying to go and do what they both loved, playing basketball.

It is now 2021 and we are all trying to heal from the the year 2020, and move forward from what that year took from us.

This past weekend at the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, Kobe Bryant was posthumously inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame, Bryant was among a group of nine inducted into the Hall of Fame on Saturday, more than a year after their induction was announced as the class of 2020.

The day couldn’t have been more perfect then Kobe Bryant’s wife, Vanessa Bryant, dressed in Laker purple being escorted to the podium by the man that Kobe Bryant looked up to the most in basketball, the legendary Michael Jordan, to deliver the most tear jerking/riveting speeches in honor of her late husband Kobe Bryant.

“Dear Kobe thank you for being the best husband and father you could possibly be,…Thank you for our family … thank you for loving me enough to last lifetimes and in every lifetime I chose you.”

“You once told me, if you’re going to bet on someone, bet on yourself. I’m glad you bet on yourself, you overachiever. You did it,…You’re in the hall of fame now … you’re an all-time great.”
