Salt From Salt-N-Pepa Says She Was ‘Asked To Have An Abortion’ To Protect Her Career [VIDEO]

When we hear during award shows, television shows on the history of music or even in books, when you hear of pioneers in their genre, people typically think of basic things.  Were they the first to do something a certain way in music or anything in music.  No one ever thinks of what they had to do to get in the industry and stay their to even be titled a pioneer.

Salt-N-Pepa recently sat down with Tamron Hall and dished on what exactly played a part in being the historic female rap duo that they became, and sadly it had nothing to do with music, fashion or just being female.  It was because they were female the ugliness they had to endure.

In a clip from Salt-N-Pepa‘s upcoming interview with Tamron Hall, the pair discussed the difficulties they faced being mothers in the music industry and the misconception that you can’t juggle both career and motherhood.

According to Cheryl James AKA Salt, she was ‘asked to have an abortion.’  Salt sad that she has never publicly spilled that particular tea before however she would not reveal who asked her to do it.

Take a look at the video below.
