Prayers :  ‘The Five Heartbeats’ Star Michael Wright ‘Eddie King Jr.’ Has Passed At 70 [VIDEO]

Prayers are in order as it has been reported that actor Michael Wright best known for starring in ‘The Five Heartbeats’ as Eddie King Jr., has passed away at the age of 70 years old.

Michael Wright’s family issued a statement to TMZ … saying that Wright died Wednesday in Los Angeles after he suffered heart failure coupled with complications of a rare degenerative neurological disease called Marchiafava-Bignami.

Marchiafava-Bignami disease is a rare and serious neurological disorder that causes damage and tissue death in the corpus callosum, which is the main band of nerve fibers connecting the two halves of the brain.

New York native Michael Wright who had breakthrough roles in the 1979 movie, “The Wanderers,” plus other starred in perhaps his most memorable role as Eddie King Jr., as the lead singer, based of The Temptations, in the 1991 drama film, “The Five Heartbeats.” then scored another major role as Raynathan Skuggs in “Sugar Hill,” opposite Wesley Snipes.
