Prayers: Irish Of 90’s Group 702 Has Passed At The Age of 43 [VIDEO]

Prayers are in order as it is being reported that singer Irish Grinstead of the 90’s smash hit group 702 has passed away at the young age of 43 years old.

702, named after the area code of their hometown of Las Vegas, Nevada is best known for their smash hit songs like “Where My Girls At,” and “Steelo”.

The sad news was shared to fans via Instagram by Irish’s sister and group member Lemisha Grinstead,

“It is with great sadness that I have to let you know that my beautiful sister and friend has passed away this evening,” she wrote. “She has had a long battle and she is finally at peace. That girl was as bright as the stars! She was not only beautiful on the outside, but also within. Sharing the stage with her was a joy I will cherish for the rest of my life! We, the family ask for prayers and respect for our privacy as we grieve an outstanding loss to our family.”

In December 702 announced that Irish was taking a “medical leave of absence due to serious medical issues”, however no cause of death is being given at this time.

We will be keeping the family, friends and colleagues of Irish uplifted in our prayers.
