Prayers: Chicago Man Robbed, Shot And Killed While Recording A Facebook Live [VIDEO]

We are living in some scary times.  You used to be safe in broad daylight but it appears that no time of the day is safe.  Prayers are in order as a Chicago man was robbed, shot and killed while he was on Facebook Live.

The Cook County Medical Examiner confirmed the victim’s identity at 42 year old Kevin Watson.

Kevin Watson, 42, was in the middle of a Facebook Live stream on the city’s West Side, just blocks away from a police station in South Austin around 6:15pm, when you can hear someone asking for his chain.  Watson exits the car where you can hear him refusing to be robbed.  Then you hear gunshots.  The video has been viewed almost two million times.

Reportedly Watson’s family and friends have been left in mourning after his final moments were captured on Facebook Live.  According to Watson’s cousin Jacquez Smith:

“He was choking for breath,”  … “He was trying to struggle to breathe.”…”He was a good man. No matter what he done, he helped people, you know? He helped me get this job in here.”

Relatives said Kevin Watson leaves behind a 6-year-old son and said Watson was killed just weeks shy of his own birthday.

No arrests have been made a this time.
