One of the greatest linebackers in NFL history was recently sidelined to the hospital, and praise God he is still in the worlds starting lineup of life. Legendary NFL New York Giant, Lawrence Taylor best known simply as L.T. has been released from a hospital recently and is home recovering from pancreatitis.
Pancreatitis is inflammation of the pancreas, characterized by severe upper abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting, which can be acute (sudden) or chronic (long-lasting). Primary causes include gallstones and alcohol abuse, with treatment typically requiring hospitalization for fluids and pain management. Acute cases often resolve in days, while chronic cases cause permanent, progressive damage.
The 67 year old NFL Hall of Fame Lawrence Taylor, played in the National Football League for 13 seasons with the New York Giants.
According to an attorney for Lawrence Taylor:
“Mr. Taylor would also like to sincerely thank everyone for the outpouring of love, support and prayers. Knowing that so many people were thinking of him and praying for his recovery gave him strength and helped carry him through a very challenging time.”
