New York  Inmates File Lawsuit To Watch The Eclipse [VIDEO]

Monday the historical viewing of the once in a lifetime eclipse is happening.  Many businesses and companies will be closing or closing early som that their employees can view the historic event but more importantly they want their employees to be safe with the influx of people that will be coming to get the best view.  Although one would think the eclipse is a science phenomenon for some it is a religious event.  Hence why some inmates in New York have filed a lawsuit, because corrections is locking the inmates down for the eclipse.

State officials announced a system-wide lockdown to coincide with the eclipse, citing concerns over security and operational logistics amidst anticipated traffic snarls in upstate areas.

Six inmates at Woodbourne Correctional Facility in New York have filed a lawsuit against state correction officials. They argue that the upcoming solar eclipse, scheduled for April 8, is a “religious event” they have the constitutional right to observe. The eclipse is expected to draw millions of onlookers as the Moon passes directly between the Earth and the Sun, casting a shadow over some parts of the United States.
