Mo’nique Is Not Down With The Bonnet Chronicles and Folks Are Upset [VIDEO]

Actress/Comedian Mo’nique took a truth hurts position onto her Instagram with some real talk about bonnets becoming the thing to wear out in public and some folks are upset about what she had to say.

Mo’nique started off her video with an experience she had at the airport:

”As we began to walk through the airport, I saw so many – actually too many to count and too many for me to tap – but, I saw so many of our young sistas in head bonnets, scarves, slippers, pajamas, blankets wrapped around them…and this is how they are showing up to the airport,”

 ”And the question I am having to you, my sweet babies – when did we lose pride in representing ourselves? When did we step away from let me make sure I’m presentable when I leave my home?”

People were so upset with Mo’nique that they actually went in on some that amened what she said.  RHOA’s Cynthia Bailey put a heart emoji up, however a troll that obvisously didn’t appreciate her agreeing with Mo’nique and told Cynthia Bailey the model that her wig was raggedy.  One person had this comment:

The only reason y’all think is “ghetto” or “unkept” is because white women don’t wear bonnets . The moment y’all see Kim K with one on it’ll be “trendy” leave us alone ! Let us live for once and stop pushing our oppressors views on us. “It’s ghetto “ it’s embarrassing “ to whom? And when did the airport become a damn fashion center? Y’all gotta stop with the foolery and let ppl do what they want with themselves .
