Man Apologizes After Getting Fired For Hurling Racial Slurs at Smoothie Shop Employees [VIDEO]

48 year old, James Iannazzo from Connecticut took his son to get a smoothie at their local smoothie shop.  30 minutes later Iannazzo’s son had a severe allergic reaction.  His son’s lips turned blue and he could breathe requiring Iannazzo to call 911.  And this is where the story goes left.

“My son lost the capacity to breathe properly; his lips and face swelled up, and he required an EpiPen shot, but it did not offer him relief,”  “I called 911. My son then went to the bathroom, threw up and fell unconscious to the floor. He threw up again. My wife gave him another EpiPen while I called 911 again. Thank God, he is doing okay.”

James Iannazzo went back to the smoothie shop going off of the workers demanding to know who prepared his child’s smoothie, calling them immigrants losers and throwing a drink at one of the workers, hitting her in the head.  The police were called but not before someone hit record, then post, on their phone.  Then of course the video went viral and not long after that James Iannazzo was arrested on charges of intimidation based on bias, breach of peace and criminal trespass then was fired from his job.

However hope springs eternal and Mr. Iannazzo is now apologizing for the error in his was that got him fired:

“My actions at Robeks were wrong, and I deeply regret them,” “They do not reflect my values or my character. I feel terrible that I lost my composure so completely.”  “I was out of my mind with fear for him when I returned to Robeks, and I wish I had not done so. I also wish they had been more careful preparing my son’s beverage. I will be extending my apologies personally to the Robeks organization, particularly the staff that was working there that night.”

But that’s not the end of the story…according to Mr. Iannazzo’s attorney Frank J. Riccio II, via Twitter, he say’s his client “stressed to the staff that the product must not contain peanuts” and that Iannazzo’s son “has a life-threatening peanut allergy.”

James Iannazzo say’s he’s sorry but it looks like the smoothie shop is going to be apologizing for the mistake in coins.

Do you think he apologized because he felt bad or because he got fired or because he is about to sue?
