Jagged Edge’s Song ‘Promise’ Was Written For A Destiny’s Child [VIDEO]

A great Quiet Storm song is timeless and Jagged Edge’s slow cut ‘Promise’ is in that category.  Music fans typically want to know what was the motivation behind the lyrics that shakes your loving soul.  Inquiring minds have been wanting to know, rumors have been said now a member of Destinys Child is spilling the tea behind ‘Promise’ by Jagged Edge and who the song was intended for.

Former Destiny’s Child member LaTavia Roberson in a recent radio interview revealed that the Jagged Edge smash hit ‘Promise’ is for/about her.

According to LaTavia she an Jagged Edge member Brandon were in a relationship when an incident occurred in which  LeToya Luckett and her mom were allegedly being thrown off of the tour bus.  Jagged Edge, subsequently stood up for them. LaTavia was separated from him after the incident.

Later LeToya Luckett called LaTavia stating,  “Giiiirl!! He wrote a song about you, giiiirl!!” Roberson said enthusiastically, recalling the moment.

Years ago the rumor was LaTavia Roberson and LeToya Luckett were ousted from Destiny’s Child because they were dating the twin lead singers of Jagged Edge, Brandon and Brian Casey.  Latavia say’s they were dating the twins and Brandon was her first love but that’s not what caused the incident.
