In January 2024, Ayesha Howard, an influencer known as “Little Ms. Golden” on social media, informed NBA star Anthony Edwards that she was pregnant. Anthony Edwards response to her news was that she should get an abortion. Ayesha Howard said an abortion was not an option and she was cool with having a fatherless child. In September of 2024 Edwards filed a motion for genetic testing to prove that the baby was his as well as address child support matters in Georgia. Howard countered with the case should be heard in California because that’s where her and the baby live (plus child support is a little higher). Baby Aubri’ Summers was born on October 14, 2024 and in December 2024 it was confirmed through testing that Anthony Edwards was the father, and because Edwards wasn’t showing up emotionally or financially, Ms. Howard filed for full legal and physical custody of baby Aubri’, along with financial support.
A judge ruled in favor of Anthony Edwards that child support should happen in Georgia, not California, after revealing he doesn’t want custody or visitation with their 4-month-old daughter.
Anthony Edwards wrote in a declaration, “[Ayesha] and I have one minor child together, Aubri Summer Howard. Paternity was recently established through DNA testing. I am not seeking child custody or visitation of Aubri. Therefore, the only issues to be resolved are financial in nature.”
Is Anthony Edwards wrong for not wanting to be present in his child life? Tell us how you feel.
