It’s amazing that the culture we are living in that people don’t realize that you have to watch what you say and do on social media. Even though going viral may get you some temporary coins, depending on what you did to go viral can cost you your fulltime coins and benefits. A Houston Police officer has been relieved of duty after a viral social media video surfaced showing her making racist remarks.
Now former Houston police officer Ashley Gonzalez, in a now viral video can be heard/seen using the n-word several times while expressing hatred toward Black people at one point saying,
“The amount of times I will always and forever say that I f*cking hate n*gg*rs. I f*cking hate you all.” .. “Y’all don’t know how good it felt to say [racial slur] out loud. I felt like I was back in the Marine Corps… I felt like the world just stopped, it was just peace.” .. “Let me get a Black person on a 911 call tomorrow,” she said in the video. “You’re going to jail.”
Ashley Gonzalez, who was sworn in as an officer in January 2024, has turned in her badge and gun she remains employed but could face indefinite suspension following the investigation.
