The wait is over and the snafu with Miami social media department and hopes of LeBron James ending his fairytale career where it all started from, King James has announced his new/last home will be in Philly. Lebron James took to social media to announce that his decision wasn’t based on money or family but his hopes of ending his career with a championship as a member of the Philadelphia 76ers. Then not long after Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro welcomed the NBA legend by issuing a proclamation for today, July 24th, to be recognized as LeBron James Day.
Governor Shapiro took to social media to announce the proclamation on Friday, saying,
“By the power vested in me as the Governor of the great Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and a die-hard Sixers fan… I hereby proclaim today to be LEBRON JAMES DAY.”
LeBron James is signing a 2-year, $8 million contract with a player option, highlighting that his decision wasn’t about money but helping Philadelphia bring home an NBA championship.
