Former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick and His Baby Are Expecting A Baby

Congratulations are in order as fallen from grace former Detroit Mayor, 51 year old, Kwame Kilpatrick held a press conference via Instagram to announce that he and his wife of 6 months, Laticia Kilpatrik, are expecting a baby boy.

“Tonight we’re going to announce to everyone who is within earshot our great news,”  “Laticia and I are about to bring forth a brand new baby boy. We found out that we are pregnant.”

Kwame Kilpatrick and Laticia Maria McGee married surrounded by family and friends back in July at Detroit’s Historic Little Rock Baptist Church. The happy couple when she started working as a receptionist in the mayor’s office. Kwame Kilpatrick connected with her through a friend and they started praying on the phone together which led to eventual prison visits.

Kwame Kilpatrick served more than seven years in federal prison after being convicted of racketeering conspiracy in March 2013 on 24 federal felony counts, including mail fraud, wire fraud and racketeering then sentenced to 28 years before being released early by a commutation in January at the direction of President Donald Trump in one of his final acts as president.

Kwame Kilpatrick has 3 children by his first wife of 23 years Carlita Kilpatrick, before they divorced in 2018.
