Deputy Son Suspected In Mass Shooting AT FSU That Left 2 Dead [VIDEO]

We hear about these horrific stories too many times these days, as it was reported that a mass shooting happened Thursday on the campus of Florida State University leaving 2  dead and 6 injured, that happened around lunchtime near the student union building in the state capital of Tallahassee.

Police responded to an active shooter call at around midday local time, the university said. An alert was issued warning students and those on campus to “seek shelter and await further instructions”.  The suspect was shot by police and taken to hospital.

The suspected shooter is being reported as 20 year old Florida State University student Phoenix Ikner, that is the son of 18 year veteran Leon County police officer, Jessica Ikner.  According to the reports Phoenix Ikner allegedly got a hold of his mother service weapon to carry out the shootings.

Phoenix Ikner was a longstanding member of the Leon County Sheriff’s Office citizen advisory or youth advisory council and engaged in a number of their training programs.

This is not the first shooting at FSU. In 2015, a graduate of the school shot and injured three people at the library before he was fatally shot by police.
