Dave Chappelle Tackled Onstage During LA Show [VIDEO]

It seems that the Oscars ‘slapgate’ combined with the pandemic affecting some peoples mind has opened up a floodgate for people feeling that they are entitled to do whatever it is they want to do, including assaulting entertainers because you didn’t like the joke they told.  Dave Chappelle has always maintained his respect for the LGBTQ, however some of his jokes are about the LGBTQ, and last night during a show in Los Angeles someone decided to try and jump Dave Chappelle, tackling him on the stage allegedly because of his jokes.

The whole sh## show went down at the Netflix Is a Joke Festival, a comedy festival that’s called on THE BIGGEST NAMES IN COMEDY to descend on LA for ELEVEN DAYS.

The Los Angeles Police Department  confirmed a 23 year old man named Isaiah Lee, who was a member of the audience, was armed with a replica gun rushed a stage and tackled comedian Dave Chappelle as he was performing at a Los Angeles comedy festival late Tuesday.  According to reports Dave Chappelle was introducing the rap duo Black Star, made up of Yasiin Bey and Talib Kweli, when the Isaiah Lee jumped up on stage and was subdued by security.  After the dust settled Dave Chappelle returned to the stage to do what what he does best.

Ironically enough Chris Rock, who performed earlier that day, later joined Chappelle on stage and joked, “Was that Will Smith?”

Isaiah Lee was loaded onto an ambulance after the attack and is being held in lieu of $30,000 bail, Lee will be charged with a felony count of assault with a deadly weapon.

Here’s something interesting people protested for Dave Chappelle to be removed from Netflix, however you pay to go see him, just to get angry about what he gets paid to do and that’s tell jokes??  What’s wrong with that picture?
