Chicago Pastor Corey Brooks Catching Hell For Saying Black Americans Owe Jewish Americans “A Debt Of Gratitude” [VIDEO]

Pastor Corey Brooks, known as the “Rooftop Pastor,” is the founder and Senior Pastor of New Beginnings Church of Chicago and recently he has ruffled a few feathers when he said that Black Americans should be ‘thankful’ to Jewish American and that they are “owed a debit of gratitude.” 

During an appearance on Fox News discussing antisemitism in America, Brooks said Black Americans should be “thankful” and argued that “we owe a debt of gratitude” to Jewish Americans for standing alongside Black Americans during the fight for civil rights.

Pastor Brooks has emphasized that Jewish individuals marched, faced imprisonment, and lost their lives alongside African Americans during the Civil Rights Movement, stating that the Black community owes a “debt of gratitude” to the Jewish community

Pastor Corey Brooks gained national fame for living on the roof of an abandoned motel on Chicago’s South Side for 94 days, and later for a 343-day rooftop vigil, to bring attention to gun violence and raise funds for a community center.
