There was a lot going on in Northeast Ohio this past weekend with The Millennium Tour in Cleveland featuring Featuring Trey Songz, Omarion and Bow Wow with Boosie, Rick Ross, Plies, Ray J, Sammie, Bobby V and Pleasure P, the Ying Yang Twins and Nivea. Unfortunately just a few miles south, a shooting broke out at a Boosie Badazz after concert in Akron, Ohio, leaving two people critically injured.
Reportedly two men, ages 18 and 36, were found with “apparent” gunshot wounds, causing them to be taken to the hospital in “critical condition.” A third man, age 25, showed up to a local hospital with a “graze-gunshot injury.” It is believed that the gunman slipped through a blind spot with the weapon and that at least one of the shots was fired while 42 year old rapper Boosie Badazz best known for his hit “Wipe Me Down” rapper was on stage at FieldHouse Lounge in Akron.
Boosie Badazz responded to the shooting on his social media, saying that the shooting was kind of normal for him, it happens once or twice a year in a club and he can’t control peoples actions. (see below)
The FieldHouse Lounge who is fully cooperating with the City of Akron in regards to the incident responded to the shooting on their social saying that they are deeply sadden by the tragic incident and that the victims are in their thoughts and prayers. The FieldHouse Lounge continued to say the apologize to the customers that were affected by the incident, that safety is their top priority and they are committed to making sure that this doesn’t happen again.
Authorities have yet to release the names of the victims, as the investigation into the incident remains ongoing. No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting at this time.
