Black Man In Brazil Beaten to Death by Security Guards On Black Consciousness Day [VIDEO]

Racism does not only exist in America, but around the world.  A video has gone viral of a man being beaten to death by two security guards at a store in Brazil sparking protest.  The craziest thing is the beating occurred on the eve of ‘Black Consciousness Day’ a holiday celebrated in the black community in Brazil.

A store employee at Carrefour supermarket captured the video of the two guards beating 40 year old João Alberto Silveira Freitas in the face then kneeling on his neck shortly before died, the scene was said to be reminiscent of the George Floyd killing in America.

The incident allegedly started inside the store when Mr. Freitas got into a verbal altercation with an employee of the store and security was called.

Both security guards have been arrested, military police officer Giovani Gaspar da Silva, 24, was taken to a military prison, while 30-year-old Magno Braz Borges is being held in a civil police building.

According to a journalist in Brazil a young black person is murdered in Brazil every 21 minutes.
