Glenville High School’s football team is at the center of a major controversy involving a late-season playoff ban, a court injunction, and an ongoing eligibility investigation by the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA), over what the school district says is an error. A judge said until they work this out Glenville could play. However the team they were rescheduled to play, University School, didn’t show up to the game and the judge that gave the okay to play is NOT HAPPY!!
Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court Judge Andrew Santoli expressed that he found it “incredibly frustrating” and was “not happy” after University School failed to show up for a rescheduled Saturday playoff football game against Glenville High School. Judge Santoli made it clear he wasn’t made at the players or parents of University School because he was sure that they wanted to play the game, but he was upset with the coaches and the administration for making that decision.
After going in on the court Judge Andrew J. Santoli recessed the proceedings Monday and scheduled the hearing to resume at 9 a.m. Tuesday.
