Flock Cameras have been a heated debate, as something that was allegedly designed for good has been used to stalk and in some cases wrongly identify illegal activity. Recently a Virginia woman has found herself trying to put the pieces of her life back together after flock cameras led police to her home in shooting investigation.
Virginia, resident Rosalyn Crump, was home in bed when at 2 o’clock in the morning Richmond Police arrived at her home after Flock license plate cameras reportedly linked her 2012 Hyundai Elantra to a shooting investigation. After pleading her case police still had her car towed away in which the tow company damaged her car totaling it out.
Authorities later acknowledged that the camera system had led them to the wrong vehicle, and Crump says she learned her car had been cleared for release just four hours after it was taken.
As a result of being wrongfully flocked Rosalyn Crump says she has lost wages, her job is in jeopardy, and she is paying for a rental car to transport herself and her children.
