Dolly Parton Laid To Rest Next To Her Late Husband In A Private Service

Fans around the world from all genres where saddened last week with the news of the unexpected passing of country music icon Dolly Parton who was notably known for one Whitney Houston’s greatest hits, ‘I Will Always Love You’, at the age of 80 years old.  The news was reported via Dolly Parton’s nephew, Brian Seaver, in a video post.  Dolly Parton singer, songwriter, actress, businesswoman, and philanthropist music career who’s career spanned over 60 years, selling over 100 million records and winning 11 Grammy Awards, making her one of the bestselling musical performers of all time, wanted her passing to be simple, private and surrounded by her family and this weekend that wish was granted.  Dolly Parton was laid to rest next her late husband in a private ceremony.

On Saturday, Dolly Parton’s niece, Lainey Mae Parton, shared a heartfelt tribute to the late country music icon on Instagram, reflecting on the private moments and unwavering support she received from her “Granny.”

“This is a really hard post for me to make,” …”I wanted to wait until after my granny was laid to rest yesterday before I tried to put any of this into words.”

Dolly Parton and her late husband, Carl Dean, were married for nearly six decades and didn’t have any children.
