Social media can be cruel especially since we are in the phase that anything less than saying something cruel just isn’t cool. Last night TMZ posted a video of the legendary Gladys Knight from her last few shows where Gladys had appeared confused at times, staring off blankly and leaving much of the vocals to her backup singers. Today the 82 year old Motown musical icon say’s in the midst of all the drama she will be doing “fewer performances” to focus on transitioning to the next stage of her career and her life.
Gladys Knight who is managed by her husband, William McDowell, told TMZ Gladys wants to keep performing, but he says she has good days and bad.
“No one is ever gonna make me say, ‘My wife is well,’ but all she wants to do is sing.”
He says she has not been diagnosed with dementia, but they’re going to a doctor in the near future to evaluate if she has that condition. Although her vocals are still strong, Glady’s has tour dates booked through mid-November however if she is struggling he will pull her from the dates.
