Michigan Football Ex-Coach Sherrone Moore’s Side Boo Is Suing The University For Allegedly Withholding Cheat Scandal Record

Michigan Football’s ex-coach, Sherrone Moore lost everything when he fumbled his extra marital relationship, with Paige Shiver, his former assistant.  Michigan Football head coach Sherrone Moore was fired on  December 10, 2025 with the University of Michigan saying it found evidence that Moore had an inappropriate relationship with a staffer.  That same day  it was reported that Saline Police had detained Moore after officers responded to a call on the 3000 block of Ann Arbor-Saline Road for an alleged assault investigation. Prosecutors charged Sherrone Moore with felony third-degree home invasion and two misdemeanors: stalking in a domestic relationship and breaking and entering.  Sherrone Moore pleaded no contest in March to two misdemeanors: malicious use of a telecommunications device and trespassing. He was sentenced in April to 18 months of probation and fined just over $1,000, successfully avoiding jail time.  Just when you thought that was that everything is over, it’s being reported that Moore’s side boo is suing the university for allegedly withholding the cheating scandal records.

Paige Shriver and her legal team filed the suit Wednesday, accusing the university of intentionally violating the Michigan Freedom of Information Act, a law designed to help people find and review public records. The legal team is accusing school officials of breaking the law by not providing records related to the investigation conducted by a private law firm, Jenner & Block, who were hired in the aftermath of the alleged scandal and relationship between Moore and Shriver.

“The lawsuit filed today demands transparency and accountability from the University of Michigan, President Grasso and the Board of Regents,” … “This public university paid Jenner & Block $12 million to investigate the Sherrone Moore scandal and the abuse, Title IX and Title VII violations within the athletic department and Schembechler Hall, yet now refuses to release the investigation’s findings. It was important for our client to file this initial FOIA lawsuit to ensure the truth and facts come out.” – Attorney Andrew M. Stroth

During an interview on ABC’s Nightline, which aired on Friday, April 24, Paige Shiver was asked about being labeled as a “homewrecker” over her relationship with Moore, who has been married to his wife, Kelli Moore, since July 2015.

“I don’t think you really understand it until you sit down and think about everything,” … “He was manipulating me from the beginning. He knew my heart. He knew how much I cared about people and he used it against me.”… “I obviously blame myself for falling into that, but at the end of the day he was very good at manipulating.”
