Female Navy Vet Shot In The Face During A Facebook Marketplace Meetup, However Social Media Is Calling Cap [VIDEO]

You can find some great deals as well as make some great sales on Facebook Marketplace, however whenever you make cash transactions, they always recommend meeting in the daytime in public areas even at police stations.  Recently a female Navy veteran was shot in the face during a Marketplace meetup, however social media is calling cap on her story because reading the comments there are a few things that don’t add up.

Navy veteran Zariyona Rowe says she had a planned Facebook Marketplace meetup scheduled for the sale of a seemingly iced-out Audemars Piguet watch. Rowe had the watch priced at $1200. During the meetup, the buyer appeared on a mask and wanted Rowe to test the watch with a diamond tester. When Rowe turned and reached for the tester, the man pulled a gun and requested she hand over the watch.  Rowe tried to knock the gun out of his hand and was shot in face.

To give some context as to the watch Rowe was selling, the absolute cheapest Audemars Piguet (AP) watches available are older, pre-owned time-only models or vintage pieces from the 1970s through the early 2000s, typically priced between $5,000 and $10,000. If you want the iconic octagonal Royal Oak, you should expect to spend a minimum of $15,000 to $20,000 on the pre-owned market.  Audemars Piguet (AP) watches are expensive because demand actually increases with the price. This elite status is driven by a mix of extreme rarity, masterful hand-craftsmanship, premium materials, and a cult-like association with celebrities.

Although Zarivona Rowe’s message is was to urge others to do meetups in very public spaces instead of in the evening and in a residential area, the social media sleuths are not buying the story.

  • Naaaah I’m not going…something is shifty here. $1200 AP, 9pm at night 🤷🏾‍♂️ on a street? No gas station, Walmart etc
  • 🤔🤔🤔🤔😒😒😒 no way you thought it was ok to meet up to sell a AP at night , by yourself & why is it $1200
  • I’m so happy she okay, but an AP for $1200? And through Facebook? NASTY WORK
  • So she sees him with a mask on beforehand and proceeds to tell him to come to the car? Oh absolutely not. That’s the hugest red flag ever 😩
