Think about this in the 249 year history of this country there has only been 45 men who have served as President of the United States, spanning 47 presidencies. Of those 45 men only one was a man of color, Barack Obama.
Today a legacy is being unveiled in Chicago, The Obama Presidential Center, and in a dedication ceremony several of those 45 presidents as well as their first ladies were on deck to support. Former President Joe Biden, former first lady Jill Biden, former President George W. Bush, former first lady Laura Bush, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and former President Bill Clinton, as well as former U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris and former second gentleman Doug Emhoff were present for the dedication ceremony at the Obama Presidential Center, on June 18, 2026, in Chicago, Illinois.
The Obama’s as always entertained with class with The Roots band performing as well as Jennifer Hudson singing ‘The Star Spangled Banner’ as well as a host of who’s who in the entertainment and political world were in attendance for The Obama Presidential Center Dedication Ceremony.
The present sitting president was not in attendance.
