Is it really snitching if a crime was committed against you?? Rapper Pooh Shiesty, legal name Lontrell Williams, Jr., was one of eight people arrested in Dallas, Memphis, and Nashville for allegedly kidnapping and robbing rapper Gucci Mane. Gucci Mane since the arrest of Pooh Sheisty and them has faced accusations of “snitching” after federal prosecutors alleged he identified rapper Pooh Shiesty and others as the perpetrators of a kidnapping and armed robbery against him. These claims contradict earlier statements where Gucci Mane maintained he would never cooperate with authorities. Well according to the FBI during Pooh Shiesty’s bail hearing, snitching is the case that they gave Gucci.
During Pooh Shiesty’s bail hearing in federal court in Dallas, Pamela Hanson testified that Gucci Mane had provided a statement to local police concerning the alleged January 10, 2026, incident at a recording studio. According to reporting from XXL, prosecutors indicated that their case leans in part on accounts from Gucci Mane and people close to him.
Allegedly Pooh Shiesty, arranged the meeting back in January of 2026, reportedly to “discuss the terms of his recording contract with one of the victims.” Pooh Shiesty was signed to Gucci Mane’s 1017 label before run-ins with the law. When the three men were in the music studio, Pooh Shiesty and his eight co-conspirators, “executed an armed takeover,”. Pooh Shiesty pulled out an AK-style pistol and “forced one of the victims to sign a release from the recording contract at gunpoint.”
The judge ruled there was probable cause in the alleged kidnapping of Gucci Mane, ordering Lontrell Williams Jr. (Pooh Shiesty) to stay in jail. However, the FBI said they do not have the alleged contract involved in the dispute, or any of the evidence seen online that led to Williams’ arrest.
