Prayers: Wendy Williams Father Has Passed At 94 Years Old [VIDEO]

Prayers are in order as it has been reported that Wendy Williams father, Thomas Williams Sr., has passed away at the age of 94 years old.  The news of Thomas Williams passing was shared Sunday by Wendy’s niece and goddaughter, Alex Finnie, on Instagram with a heartfelt tribute.

“It is with an extremely heavy heart that I share — after 94 years of extraordinary love, strength, brilliance, and wisdom, my grandfather Thomas D. Williams has passed.” …“I miss him tremendously. I’m a little lost for words right now, but I love you endlessly Papa. Give Nana a kiss for me.”

In February 2025, Wendy Williams was granted a brief trip to Florida to celebrate her father’s 94th birthday, despite her ongoing guardianship and well-documented health struggles.

Thomas Williams Sr. is remembered as a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, and a man whose life was anchored in education, discipline, and compassion. His influence extended beyond his immediate family, touching students, colleagues, and viewers who came to know him through his appearances and stories.

Thomas’ wife, Shirley Williams, passed in 2020 at the age of 85.  The former Wendy Williams Show host has an older sister, Wanda Finnie, and a younger brother, Thomas Williams Jr., who were raised by their parents, Shirley and Thomas Williams Sr.
