Prayers Grammy Award Winning Reggae Legend Jimmy Cliff Has Passed At 81 Years Old

Sad news is being reported that Grammy award winning Reggae legend Jimmy Cliff has passed away at the age of 81 years old.

Reggae icon Jimmy Cliff, the Grammy-winning musician best known for hits like “I Can See Clearly Now” and “The Harder They Come,” according to his wife, Latifa Chambers, in a statement announcing his passing:

 “Jimmy Cliff has crossed over due to a seizure followed by pneumonia.”   “To all his fans around the world, please know that your support was his strength throughout his whole career. … I also wanted to thank Dr. Couceyro and the whole medical staff, as they have been extremely supportive and helpful during this difficult process.”

Reggae legend Jimmy Cliff who is hailed as one of Jamaica’s cultural icons alongside Bob Marley, won two Grammy Awards out of seven nominations: the first for Cliff Hanger (1985) and the second for Rebirth (2012). He was also inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2010.
