Happy Anniversary: Former POTUS/FLOTUS Barack and Michelle Obama Celebrate 33 Years Of Marriage

With everything that is wrong in the world today, it feels good to celebrate something positive, black love.  Big ups to former President of the United States and First Lady, Barack and Michelle Obama on celebrating 33 years of marriage.

Despite the rumors that the Obama’s were heading to splitsville, they are still here together, they just go through marital issues that we al have had.   Barack Obama took to his social media to share the best decision he has ever made in his life and that was marrying Michelle.

The best decision I ever made was marrying you, @MichelleObama. For 33 years, I’ve admired your strength, grace, and determination — and the fact that you look so good doing it all. Happy anniversary!

Michelle Obama also posted about her 33 year love journey with Barack

We’ve been on quite the journey over the last 33 years—and yet, I love you even more today than the day we said “I do.”…Happy anniversary, @BarackObama! I’m so lucky to go through life with you. ❤️

Michelle Obama (then Michelle Robinson) initially didn’t want to date Barack because they were co-workers.  After Barack asked her out, she thought, “no way. This is completely tacky.” She eventually agreed to a date.  Their first date consisted of a long walk, the Chicago Art Institute and ice cream and the rest is literally history as Barack Obama became the first black man to run this free country with their two beautiful daughters, Sasha and Malia, growing up in the White House by there side.
