Ladies love a nice designer purse unfortunately a lot of regular folks can’t afford bags or cloths such as Louis Vuitton who’s gear on the low end is a couple of car notes. With that in mind many ladies settle for a good knockoff/bootleg version of their favorite designer. Although it’s illegal to sell fake designer items there is still a demand, typically found in trunks near or around your favorite bar or in local beauty shops/barbershops. Reportedly a Florida couple was recently arrested for taking knockoff’s to another level when they turned their home into a knockoff luxury boutique selling Louis Vuitton bags, shirts and more.
In a video released by WSVN, you can see the home decorated like a lux boutique, complete with shelves of fake Louis Vuitton, Gucci and Valentino. Authorities got wind of the counterfeit crooks after seeing advertisements for the “exclusive luxury boutique” on social media. Police sent secret shoppers to the residence where they were sold a Louis Vuitton bag and matching shirt for $180, which turned out to be fake. Police seized over 500 counterfeit items including handbags, shirts and shoes that if they were real would have been worth over $500k.
The Miami Gardens, Florida couple that was running the luxury boutique have been identified as 33-year-old Yuri Rafael Velazquez-Garcia and 32-year-old Mayrelis Marquez Plans. Following their arrests the couples was charged with felony counterfeiting. Their bonds were set at $5,000 each.
