Rhode Island Prosecutor Devon Flanagan Tried Dropping Her ‘AG’ Bu Got Arrested Anyway [VIDEO]

It used to be said ‘it is who you know, not what you know’, however for a Rhode Island Assistant Attorney General letting the police know who she was by dropping her ‘AG’ card on them didn’t help her because all they knew was they were arresting her.

In a scene made for the television show ‘Scandal’ 34-year-old Special Assistant Attorney General Devon Flanagan has gone viral after she was place in hand cuffs by Newport police outside a restaurant after staff told police that she was an “unwanted party” who needed to go. Instead of just leaving, bodycam footage shows her trying to throw her weight around, telling officers, “Turn your bodycam off, it’s protocol if a citizen asks.” Girl, what?  She questioned probable cause, claimed she wasn’t being mirandized, and even warned, “Buddy, you’re gonna regret this,” while being shoved into the patrol car.

Flanagan ended the night with misdemeanor charges, for willful trespassing.  Devon Flanagan, who has been in office for seven years, boss, Attorney General Peter Neronha, has launched an internal review.
