Deitrick Haddon took to his social media to share his disappointment of the awards show, starting off his Instagram video stating that Gospel is in need of an “overhaul.”
Gospel singer Deitrick Haddon recently took to social media to share his disappointment with BET’s award for Best Gospel/Inspirational Artist at the 2025 BET Awards. In his video, he stated, “It’s already a small genre (Gospel), so it’s hard for us to watch the Dr. Bobby Jones Gospel Award being given to somebody that’s not in our space.” GloRilla, took home her first BET award for the Best Gospel/Inspirational category with her record ‘Rain Down On Me’ featuring Kirk Franklin and Maverick City Music at the 2025 BET Awards.
